Our History

Cilela has experienced exponential growth within the past few months to become a market
player in Zambia and Lubumbashi.
Cilela’s commitment to outstanding local service, innovative solutions and wide-ranging
application know-how makes Cilela a preferred partner for its customers. Through our broad,
complementary product and service portfolio, we touch nearly every key industry.
The team at Cilela have enormous, combined expertise in many industrial applications. We
have developed advanced understanding of the functional needs of our customer segments,
and have therefore organized our business along the following Business Units:

Cilela is a fast-growing company that was established and incorporated as a private company
in 2017. Since then, the company has grown in leaps and bounds to become a leading
distributor of chemicals especially to the industrial and mining sectors in Zambia and Katanga
in DRC.
Cilela is also an importer and distributor of raw material chemical for the benefit of the industrial
(food, pharmaceutical, detergents, personal care, paint etc) mining, paint, and water treatment
sectors in Zambia. Exports are mainly to DRC markets.
The company operates from two sites, Lusaka branch where all operations are managed such
as administration, finance, warehousing, recruitment, and selection etc

The Lubumbashi suboffice is conveniently located for the benefit of our mining and industrial clients. The office
operations are limited to sales and marketing presently and plans are underway to put up
storage and warehousing.
To ensure compliance with International Standards
The company operates in both the local and export markets. Locally most, if not all, of its
produce is sold to the manufacturers. The company sells most of its products both ex- works
as well as on order basis.
Inward transportation and customs clearing is also outsourced and managed in accordance
with relevant procedures. Most of the products are sold in their original packaging and some
break bulking takes place.
